Great Inbreds Make
Great Hybrids!
EaSYTM is a native (naturally-occurring)
genetic trait that enhances inbred seed parent yield by as much as 50%. In 2017, the effect of EaSYTM (patent pending) on hybrid performance
was measured at nine locations spread over Illinois (2), Indiana (4), Iowa (1),
Missouri (1), and Nebraska (1). The
female seed parent was B73EaSYTM
and the male parent was a broad-based synthetic population. Two replications were planted at each
location.
Hybrid Performance of B73EaSYTM
Averaged over 9 Corn Belt Locations in 2017.

Similar
results have been obtained with LH132EaSY,
that is, a double-digit increase in hybrid yield with no adverse effect on
grain moisture, test weight, or stalk and root lodging. The Company is using molecular markers to
convert a large number of elite commercial inbred lines to the EaSYTM form. Interested parties should contact Native
Traits Corporation for additional information.
