3302EaSY x SGI187 in the Northern Corn Belt
NTP3302EaSY is a sterling example of the benefits of EaSY technology. In the current study, 3302EaSY was compared to SGI162 at seven locations in South Dakota (1), Minnesota (1), Wisconsin (2), Iowa (2) and northern Illinois (1). The male tester was SGI187. Each location had two replications of two-row plots.
In a previous experiment (click here), 3302EaSY x SGI187 produced 34 bushels more grain compared to SGI162 x SGI187. The yield differential in this study was 20 bushels per acre. Additional experiments with a larger number of locations as well as different male parents are planned.
