NTP3201EaSY and its Sister Lines

 

In a small study reported in 2019 (click here), NTP3201EaSY performed exceptionally well.  As a follow-up, 3201EaSY has now been compared to three of its sister lines.  As before, the male parent was SGI157.  Check hybrids were SGI162 x SGI157 and NTP3201EaSY x MBS9451.  The tests were conducted at five locations. *

In general, the results in 2020 confirmed those of 2019.  NTP3201EaSY had a grain yield that was 18 bushels/acre higher than SGI162. Furthermore, in combination with MBS9451, 3201EaSY delivered an additional 26 bushels per acre of yield compared to SGI162 x SGI157.  Large-scale tests will be needed to confirm these results.
